Yes this is one of those romance novels where you swear its the same story, but the two main characters just have different jobs. Not so in this one.
Nikki, is the manager and a tour guide at a flourishing New Orleans Ghost Tour Company. Which is rather interesting in itself as it would appear the author put a lot of local New Orleans history and legend into her story.
Things are going well enough for Nikki and her guides till a series of strange events begin to occur. First she sees a man who we later learned she could not have seen. You see at the time she saw him he'd been dead a few hours! Then the same evening she wake around 2 am to see one of her co-workers Andrea standing at the foot of her bed begging for her help.
Too bad Nikki puts it off as a joke as Andy really was in trouble. It turns out Andy was killed in her apartment around the time Nikki swears she saw her. So is Nikki going crazy or can she really see the dead? Enter Brent, half Irish, half Native American, who does in fact see and speak to the dead. He's been called in to help investigate the death of an agent, yep you guessed it the same guy Nikki saw, after he was already dead.
I enjoyed it, and of course there was a decent level of romance in the book too. So if you like more of a romantic thriller go pick up 'Ghost Walk'.
